About Me

I got into GRC out of regret. Coming into college, I really had no clue what I wanted to do with my professional career. I spent a lot of time messing around with computers and playing games, so I decided on Computer Engineering. That didn't work out so well for me, and the next-best stable income option was accounting. I made it through school with CPA aspirations and thought that was it. Then, I had been given an opportunity in the accounting field, which I had no clue about, IT audit. I pursued it out of my original interest, and since then, I haven't looked back. I do not miss tax season one bit and have been thriving in my new role.

In my time in the industry so far, I have seen how inefficient some internal teams are and how cumbersome it can be to manually collect evidence. This is why I joined the club: to learn, connect, and hopefully build the future of GRC.

Experience Highlights

• Leads 10+ SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements a year.
• Working through the CGE curriculum and learning by doing.
