About Me
I'm a compliance and audit professional making the shift from financial GRC into security GRC. I spent 4+ years in financial services, most recently as a Senior Financial Risk Analyst at Wise, where I ran compliance evaluations for Tier 1 bank partners, managed third-party risk for enterprise API integrations, and translated regulatory findings into recommendations that senior leadership and banking partner executives could actually act on. That work taught me how to hold a control environment accountable at scale, long before I ever touched a cloud console.
I'm part of a local group of Cyber professionals at The Neon Temple. In my home lab, I run real NIST 800-53 control audits against a live AWS environment, configure and verify a security posture connector across IAM, S3, CloudTrail, and EBS, and run multi-framework ISO 27001 gap assessments against the Secure Controls Framework crosswalk.
Alongside that I hold the ISO/IEC 27001, 27701, and 42001 Lead Auditor credentials, earned my CGE-AUD through the GRC Engineering Club, and I'm currently working through the CGE-P track while also studying for CISSP and CISA.
Experience Highlights
- Configured and operated an AWS security posture connector spanning IAM, S3, CloudTrail, and EBS, and ran a multi-framework ISO 27001 gap assessment against the Secure Controls Framework crosswalk covering 1,400+ controls
- Remediated 3 high-severity AWS findings via CLI, using separate privileged and read-only identities to keep the fix and the verification independent
- Audited NIST SP 800-53 controls through interviews, document review, and technical system testing, producing evidence packages that paralleled SOC 2 and FedRAMP audit prep
- At Wise, ran regulatory and compliance evaluations for Tier 1 bank partners, assessing control alignment against KYC/AML, data privacy, and financial services requirements
- Managed compliance onboarding and ongoing oversight for enterprise API partners, validating control environments and troubleshooting integration gaps against Wise's regulatory obligations
- Identified logic and workflow gaps in monitoring systems and implemented control enhancements that improved operational efficiency by 15%
